Hampshire and Surrey estate agency and property services company, the Charters Group, announces acquisitions of Charles Powell Estate Agents and Osmond Brookes Commercial Property Consultancy.

Charters Group, the multi-award-winning estate agency, chartered surveyors and financial services collective, has announced two acquisitions in a strategic move that will grow its residential and commercial operations, it's allied in-house resources and its branch network.

Charters Estate Agents, with its network of offices, will combine its operations with Charles Powell, bringing together two of the region’s market-leading estate agencies. This will build on the already exceptional level of customer service both estate agencies offer through a larger branch network that spans Hampshire and reaches into the Home Counties.

Charles Powell Estate Agents will ensure property sales for clients from Southampton, New Forest, Romsey and surrounding areas continue to flourish with even more expertise on board. The move will also give the consolidated teams access to Charters’ pool of in-house resources, which includes financial services, lettings, property management, land and new homes, architecture and commercial property divisions.

Meanwhile, Charters’ Trinity Rose Commercial division expands with the acquisition of Osmond Brookes, which will see two of Hampshire’s established commercial property agencies benefit from an extensive shared market expertise. Trinity Rose Commercial already delivers a raft of trusted commercial property services and, with access to Charters’ experienced residential sales and lettings agency network and its Trinity Rose Chartered Surveyors and Architecture operations, its multi-disciplinary property resources will undoubtedly extend the partnership’s reach further.

‘The Charters Group is proud to have acquired Charles Powell and Osmond Brookes – two respected and successful businesses,’ explains Robert Mott, chairman of the Charters Group. ‘By working closely with Louis Powell of Charles Powell and Jeremy Braybrooke of Osmond Brookes, we can elevate the level of expertise already present in the Charters Group and continue to deliver first-class services and experiences that our commercial and residential clients really value.

‘We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Louis and his team to the Charters estate agency family and we’re also delighted to welcome Jeremy into the Trinity Rose Commercial team.’

The Charters Group is looking ahead to the New Year with real excitement and, with funding available for acquisitions of like-minded operations that would benefit from a progressive full-service approach to property, the future is certainly one of optimism.
