Regus, the leading global workspace provider, has made history by becoming the first serviced office provider to enter the UK franchise market.

The multi-million-pound agreement, made in partnership with franchise experts ACCA Office, will see the development of 10 new top-of-the-range Regus centres over the next four years.

Marking Regus’ first partnership in the UK franchise market, the deal marks a new channel of growth for the brand in a market with significant potential.

As a franchise partner, ACCA Office will benefit from Regus’ strong 30-year heritage in the UK. Alongside industry experience, market awareness and customer understanding, the brand’s proven operating model is set to provide its new partner with an attractive return on investment.

Regus is a valuable addition to ACCA’s existing franchise portfolio, which includes brands such as Costa Coffee, Anytime Fitness and Pizza Hut.

Julian Chambers, head of UK franchising at Regus, said: “Partnering with Regus gives business owners the ability to participate in this growth story. Projections show that 30% of corporate real estate could be flexible workspace by 2030, up from 2% today. This makes the serviced office market one of the most exciting growth markets in the whole of the UK. We are thrilled that ACCA Office Ltd recognise this opportunity and have chosen to join the workspace revolution.

“The benefits of using flexible workspace is clear: from diversifying revenue and enhancing property value to capturing new demand. Helping businesses capitalise on this, we have one of the UK’s leading franchise teams in place to manage our strong growth ambitions.”

Speaking of the new partnership, managing director of ACCA Office, Jeet Sohal, said: “We are incredibly excited to be joining Regus as their first UK franchise partner. Regus is a market leader with a great franchise model that we are confident will result in a very fruitful partnership.”

Regus currently has a global network of more than 3,000 flexible workspace centres, with more openings planned in the UK during the coming months. Franchising is now also set to become a key element of the brand’s growth strategy.
