Blake Morgan’s property specialists in Southampton are celebrating after being crowned Property Law Firm of the Year at the 2017 South Coast Property Awards.

The real-estate team in Southampton fought off stiff competition to retain the prestigious title for another year, having been the inaugural winners at last year's awards.

The awards are the annual celebration of the South Coast property market. The judges in this category were looking for a law firm whose property team had an exceptional year, and gave particular attention to those that had carried out complex deals. Testimonials from clients were also taken into account in the judging process.

The award win recognises the real-estate team's breadth of experience and in-depth understanding of the real-estate market in the region. Over the past 12 months, the team have worked on a number of high-profile deals on the South Coast advising on commercial and residential developments, property investment, asset management, agricultural transactions, finance and corporate occupier work.

Blake Morgan partner and leader of the South Coast real estate team Sean Palka commented: “It's fantastic to be recognised as the leading property law firm in the region for a second successive year. At Blake Morgan, we pride ourselves on our expertise and a thorough understanding of the property market. I am very pleased that this has been recognised by the judges for this award, by our clients and by those who are active in the sector. I would like to give particular thanks to the team as their commitment and hard work has resulted in this award being won again.”

Blake Morgan’s real-estate team in Southampton comprises more than 50 lawyers who provide a full service offering to all aspects of the commercial and residential property market. They form part of a 130-strong built environment division at the firm.
