Napier Management Services teamed up with other local managing agents operating in the Bournemouth, Poole, New Forest and Southampton areas, to host a ‘meet the contractor’ event.
The event, which took place at the Village Hotel in Bournemouth, was free for local contractors to attend and was hosted by the ‘Big 4’ main local agents; Napier, Burns, Rebbecks and Hamilton Townsend, which between them manage more than 500 blocks of flats across the region.
More than 100 contractors attended the event, the idea for which came about following competency checks carried out on reputable suppliers for each agent. It was decided it would be a good idea for other agents to meet those companies who had already been checked to use a collaborative approach.
Aileen Lacey-Payne of Napier said: “We thought it would be a good idea for us to all meet the contractors who are already approved providers to our colleagues and to hear a bit more about the services that they can provide. Some contractors were previously only working with one or two of the agents involved so this event provided a great platform for them to meet the other property managers with the aim of encouraging more work."
