Specialist commercial law firm Clark Holt Commercial Solicitors has recently announced several new senior appointments.

Senior associate James Thorpe becomes a partner in its corporate team with effect from May 1. Thorpe joined the firm, based in Swindon, in 2003 and since then has been involved in a significant number of complex matters. He acts on a wide variety of transactions for individual and corporate clients, based both in the UK and abroad. In particular, Thorpe specialises in company acquisitions and disposals, reorganisations, demergers, investments, fundraisings, shareholders agreements and corporate governance matters.

Karron Whitter returns to the firm as a partner in the firm’s real-estate department with effect from May 1. Whitter previously worked at Clark Holt between 1998 and 2013. She specialises in commercial property matters including landlord and tenant, commercial freehold transactions, real estate finance and lending and property advice.

These appointments are in addition to the further new recruits to Clark Holt’s commercial/IT team. Belinda Walters (who was previously senior solicitor, legal and business affairs at Sky) and Georgia Shriane (who previously worked at a large national law firm) have joined the firm in recent months as senior associates.

Clark Holt is also looking for additional experienced lawyers to join the corporate team and welcome any CVs or expressions of interest.

For further information, contact the firm’s practice manager Claire Lane at clairel@clarkholt.com or on 01793 617444.
