Two commercial property professionals have been promoted at an expanding consultancy in Hampshire. Nick Miles and Joe Walker are now associate directors with Hughes Ellard, the independent commercial property agency covering the Solent region.

Managing director Gary Jeffries said: “Nick and Joe are excellent chartered surveyors who bring expertise and value to our clients, from landlords and occupiers to lenders and developers.

“We are very much about advancing talent within our growing company – Nick and Joe exemplify the many qualities we look for in staff and their promotions are thoroughly deserved.

“These two appointments are about nurturing a new generation of professionals as we continue to lead on digital technology and deliver market-leading services to clients across southern England.”

Hughes Ellard, which has offices at Ocean Village in Southampton and Cams Estate Business Park in Fareham, employs a record 30 staff and was established 44 years ago.

Miles joined Hughes Ellard in 2015 as a senior building surveyor at the firm’s building consultancy arm.

His experience covers the full range of building surveying duties. They include acquisition surveys, advising on building defects, schedules of condition, dilapidations, development monitoring and the project management of refurbishment and fit-out schemes.

Walker joined Hughes Ellard as a chartered surveyor in the same year, providing landlords, tenants and intermediaries, such as lending institutions, with a range of professional services, primarily focusing on valuation, advisory and lease consultancy.
