AshbyCapital, the property investment advisory company, and specialist regeneration and property developer, U+I, have let the seventh floor at The Future Works office building in Slough, to ByBox.

ByBox, a specialist in smart locker technology and field service solutions, has taken 14,517 sq ft at The Future Works, comprising 9,544 sq ft of office space and a 4,973 sq ft private roof terrace. The company is moving from Oxford Science Park.

ByBox will join Clarendon, the serviced offices and co-working provider, which has taken over the space previously occupied by Central Working, operating flexible workspace on the ground and first floors.

The Future Works is the first phase of a £200 million investment in Slough and provides 100,000 sq ft of offices. In total, the three-phase regeneration project will create 350,000 sq ft of new office accommodation.

Tom Smithers, property director at AshbyCapital, said: “ByBox’s decision to take space at The Future Works is a firm vote of confidence not only in the building we have created, but also in Slough itself. Having retained its title as the most productive place in the UK, with a higher concentration of global headquarters than any other UK city outside London, and with exceptional and improving transport links to the capital, Slough holds significant appeal. Interest in remaining floors is strong and we look forward to welcoming further businesses here.”

Jonathan Goring, Group development director at U+I, said: “With over £4 billion currently being invested in the town and the Heart of Slough initiative transforming the town centre, Slough is certainly enjoying a renaissance. It’s great to see businesses recognising how much Slough has to offer them and their employees, which will only increase as the town continues its evolution.”
