SHW, the South East independent real estate advisory group, has been appointed as the property manager of Norfolk House in Croydon, where occupants include a Travelodge Hotel, McDonalds, Clydesdale Bank, and Greggs.

It comes after the 160,672 sq ft shopping, hotel and office complex was sold by real estate investor Kennedy Wilson this month to a private family office from India.

SHW will manage the building, which includes a 149-bed, 60,000 sq ft Travelodge Hotel, 40,228 sq ft of office space and 60,444 sq ft of retail, alongside its agency team, which has been retained as letting agent for the office and retail space.

The building sits just 350 metres from East Croydon Station.

Rahul Dixit, from developer and investor Asset Bricks, which represents the new owner, said: "The acquisition of Norfolk House is part of plans for our client to increase its investment in Greater London and within the M25 over the next 12 months.

"We are delighted to have appointed SHW to manage this asset - a sound investment with great potential for growth - utilising their expertise and knowledge of transformational property management, and of the area, to support our tenants and grow our investment."

SHW Partner Kevin Middle, who is leading the firm's management of Norfolk House, added: "We are delighted to be working with Asset Bricks in the next chapter of growth for Norfolk House and for the private client.

"As a firm, we know the scheme very well having been retained as letting agent for the previous owner.

"Working alongside our agency team, we will be transforming the building, looking at efficiencies and benchmarking fundamental services, incorporating sustainability throughout to provide the best work, leisure and retail space for the occupiers and supporting our client to achieve their ambitions."

SHW has nine offices across London and the South East and serves clients across the UK.
