Property agent Savills has appointed Samuel Lamb as an associate director in its specialist residential development sales team in Oxford.

An experienced property professional, Samuel has lived and worked in the local area for several years, focusing on residential sales. He joins Savills from Knight Frank, where he has worked for more than four years.

His experience covers the breadth of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire markets, encompassing city, town, and country.

"Savills is a very well-respected name in the region and its residential development sales team is market-leading. Having built a successful career in residential sales, I am delighted to have the opportunity to specialise in new homes development consultancy," said Samuel.

"With a lifelong interest in architecture and property development, I am looking forward to supporting clients and work on many exciting schemes.’

Peter Davison is deputy editor of The Business Magazine. He has spent his life in journalism – doing work experience in newsrooms in and around Bristol while still at school, and landing his first job on a local newspaper aged 19. By 28 he was the youngest newspaper editor in the country.

An early advocate of online news, he spent the first years of the 2000s telling his bosses that the internet posed both the biggest opportunity and greatest threat to the newspaper industry and the art of journalism. He was right on both counts.

Since 2006 he has enjoyed a career as a freelance journalist. He lives in rural Wiltshire with one wife, two children, and three cats.
