Creative workspace company Spaces has opened its new hub in Reading. The centre occupies 3576 sq m of 9 Greyfriars, a new, energy-efficient office building at the heart of Reading town centre.

Born in Amsterdam, Spaces integrates lifestyle and work by providing creative working environments for individuals and businesses. The company has a unique entrepreneurial ethos that encourages networking amongst its members. The new Reading hub meets the demand for the variety of working environments that today’s entrepreneurial businesses demand. It offers private offices and meeting rooms, as well as vast co-working space, and an on-site café serving fresh food and barista-style coffee.

Situated just two minutes’ walk from the recently redeveloped Reading station, the location can be accessed directly from London, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff and the North. The hub is also just a short walk away from the local amenities offered within the town centre.

The opening of Spaces Reading marks another step in Spaces’ UK expansion. Founded in 2006, the company has already opened several hubs across the UK, in cities such as London, Glasgow, Liverpool and Brighton, with several other locations due to open in the coming months. Internationally, the company has centres in more than 25 countries including the USA, Australia, Japan, Israel and Mexico.

Richard Morris, UK CEO Spaces, commented: “Spaces aims to provide a creative and inspirational environment that focusses on community in order to redefine the meaning of being ‘at work’.

“Widely regarded as the economic capital of the Thames Valley, Reading is home to a diverse range of leading businesses, particularly those in the creative sector. Spaces is therefore perfectly suited to Reading’s business market.”
