Reading: Office design and fit-out company moves in
Commercial interior designer and office fit-out specialist Glenside Commercial Interiors LLP is moving to Reading. The company will be moving into a new 11,000 sq ft head office premises in Commercial Road on July 31.

The site at 16 Commercial Road, Reading, which was acquired by Glenside was formerly a laundry. This was demolished and an entirely new office building was constructed. As the premises was a new-build, a full fit-out has been required working from an empty shell. This has included installing partitions, furnishing, floor coverings and a range of other features and technical fittings.
Glenside’s director Ryan White explained that the project will have taken over 10 weeks from its initial stages, but when the work is complete the offices will be ideal for their business. Importantly, the premises will provide ample space for the company to display a variety of fit-out and furniture styles so that clients can see what might be appropriate for their own requirements.
“Reading is an excellent centre for our operations,” he said. “It’s a growing business hub with an international reputation for expertise in areas such as technology and science. Our new office is close to the M4, which means we are right where the action is and can easily commute to our existing client base and to London. Also, being a new build, the office should prove to be very energy efficient and will allow us to showcase the very latest products and technology in the interior sector.”
