Reading’s sociable venue near the station, Oakford Social Club, has reopened following a considerable makeover. The two-storey hotspot is now bedecked with exposed brick walls, vintage fabric lamps and music prints which are sure to get the conversation started. It is fitted with an array of benches, booths and leather single seats which surround heavy wood-topped tables throughout the expansive bar, and there are large terraces at the front and back of the building.
In addition to a line-up of music acts and a brand-new menu, Oakford has an ever-changing, seasonal craft beer range including real ales from Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Fruli, and US craft beers from the likes of Hogsback, London’s Outback and Moor Claudia.
