Reading: Lichfields boosts Thames Valley office with three new people

The Thames Valley office of leading planning and development consultancy Lichfields is growing quickly - as it looks to build on the solid foundations laid since opening in early 2015.

Daniel Lampard, senior director and head of the Thames Valley office, says he is delighted to welcome three new faces to his existing team.

Brian Conlon has joined as a new senior planner, Nicola Jones as a graduate planner, and experienced associate director Sarah Moorhouse has also transferred from the firm’s London office.

Lampard: “We have made great strides in the Thames Valley over the last two years and a half years and the additional members of staff will help up us build upon these achievements.

“We are delighted with these new appointments and very pleased with the progress the office has made to date. These extra resources means we will now be able to spread our wings even further - developing our client base and project reach.”

The office in Reading has been successful in securing housing and leisure developments across the Thames Valley including the first stage of the £200 million Oxpens development in Oxford.

It has also undertaken key research for the Thames Valley Berkshire LEP including a comprehensive analysis of housing needs over the next decade, and is currently pursuing a number of housing proposals across the Thames Valley.

Conlon joins from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council where he led on some major housing and energy schemes. A member of the RTPI he has previously worked for the Environment Agency.

Jones will be working with Lichfields part-time whilst she completes an MSc in Spatial Planning and Development at Reading University,

Moorhouse has worked for Lichfields  London office for 15 years on some major projects with a focus on commercial, retail and Green Belt development. She joins the Thames Valley office following her return from maternity leave.

Lampard added: “These appointments will significantly increase our resources in the Thames Valley, which is set to be a major growth area over the coming years. We are in the business of helping to deliver that growth for housebuilders and all our commercial clients.”
