Thames Valley firm Chantrey Vellacott is celebrating success at the British Accountancy Awards 2014.
The firm, based on Queens Road in Reading, picked up the Top 50 Tax Team of the Year accolade at the prestigious awards, which were held at The Brewery in central London.
The awards are now in their fourth year and celebrate excellence in the British accountancy profession by showcasing development and highlighting teams and individuals who have demonstrated excellence over the past 12 months.
Chantrey Vellacott was one of three firms shortlisted in the final of the inaugural Top 50 Tax Team of the Year category - open to the 50 largest accountancy firms in the UK.
Managing partner Mike Tovey said: “We’re thrilled the achievements of our tax team have been recognised.
“Our dynamic and innovative tax practice is central to the success of Chantrey Vellacott and achieving a first-class service for our clients and we’re all proud to have won this fantastic award.
“We believe our joined-up approach of working alongside sector specialists across the firm is vital in ensuring our tax services not only achieve vast savings, but just as importantly we get it right first time, and winning this accolade is testament to our team’s hard work and success."
Chantrey Vellacott was also a finalist in the Training Team of the Year category.
Tovey added: “Investing in the development of our people is hugely important to us, so we were also delighted to be recognised as one of the top training teams in the accountancy profession.”
