A new business could join Toys R Us, Currys & PC World and Halfords in a key trading area of Portsmouth where newly-refurbished commercial property has been released on to the market.

Two new fully-refitted units with a total of 20 car parking spaces are being offered at 53-55 Burrfields Road, Portsmouth, close to Ocean Retail Park in the heart of Portsea Island. The two-storey properties, which have a combined floor space of 9,696 sq ft, are offered to let through South Coast commercial property specialists Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH). They include prominent main road frontage, making them highly suitable for trade counter or retail use, subject to planning consent, and can be taken by a single occupier or let to two separate tenants. Both units have been fully equipped with WC facilities and central heating and have been fitted with modern open-plan offices on the first floor. The site benefits from excellent transport links as Burrfields Road connects directly to the A2030 Eastern Road, providing easy access to the A27, M27 and A3(M).

Guy Jackson, associate director – industrial, at the South Coast offices of LSH, said: “We’re really excited about these units, which offer the rare opportunity of a significant amount of space in one of the most sought-after business areas of Portsmouth. The site has excellent road links and a prime location enjoyed by established outlets such as Toys R Us, Currys and PC World, Halfords, Homebase and Comet. We’ve recently seen Costa move to Burrfields Road as the site continues to grow. We’re expecting high levels of interest in these premises, particularly given the levels of demand we are seeing for commercial space of this type.”

Lambert Smith Hampton is a multi-award-winning commercial property specialist and a leader on the South Coast in the industrial property, office space, retail and investment markets.
