Hendy Group is investing in its Portsmouth facilities with the creation of a brand new Kia showroom and the launch of a dedicated FordStore.

“Portsmouth is an extremely important location for the group and this investment will ensure we can offer customers the very best facilities,’’ said group chief executive Paul Hendy.

Work is now underway to create a larger Kia showroom at the site in Cosham which will accommodate nine new cars and is due for completion at the beginning of April.

“Kia has been hugely successful and we’re delighted to be part of its plans for further growth in the future and the new showroom will enable us to showcase the very latest models in a comfortable and relaxed environment.”

Investment plans at the Cosham site also include the launch of a FordStore – the very latest in showroom designs and concepts from Ford.

Designed to offer a whole new way to shop and experience Ford, the FordStore is designed to be relaxed, informal and full of interactive technology.

The dealership is one of a limited number of locations chosen by Ford to become a FordStore and is the second in the Hendy portfolio, the first is in Eastleigh.

“The concept is totally customer focused and we’re delighted to be launching a FordStore in Portsmouth,” said Hendy. “It has been a huge success at our dealership in Eastleigh with positive feedback from customers so we’re pleased to be able to bring the concept to Portsmouth too.”
