A new development in Dorset has got off to a flying start as trampoline park operator Gojumpin announces it has signed a deal to occupy one of the largest units on the site. Gojumpin, which operates eight indoor trampoline parks around the country with more due to open in the coming year, has already secured planning permission for D2 leisure use of Unit 2, a 24,800 sq ft facility at Horizon Park, Innovation Close, Poole.

Horizon park is located off Yarrow Road with direct access to the A3049 Ringwood Road, linking to Junction 1 of the M27 via the A348 and A31. It is close to Tower Retail Park, with Poole and Parkstone stations less than three miles away, providing direct access to London Waterloo.

Leading industrial developer Chancerygate has been granted planning permission to develop a multi-unit scheme of 11 warehouse and distribution units ranging from 1,600 sq ft-24,800 sq ft across the four-acre site. Construction of the scheme is due to begin in November with completion expected in Q3, 2018.

Unit 1 spanning around 20,000 sq ft is currently under offer by a household name occupier, meaning that 50% of the park’s space is let or under offer ahead of construction.

Adrian Whitfield, industrial & logistics director at LSH’s Southampton office, said: ‘’To have 50% of space at a speculative development let or under offer at this stage in the process is a great result, and shows the enormous amount of positive feeling around this scheme and the economy in the region.’’

Vernon West of Gojumpin said: ‘’Establishing a suitable site in Dorset is key to our expansion plan as we continue to bring the Gojumpin experience to people around the country. Horizon Park is a perfect location for us - we are excited to have secured this unit and look forward to seeing the site take shape in the weeks and months to come.’’

Commercial property specialist Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) is joint letting agent for the site with Goadsby. Knight Frank acted for Gojumpin.
