Poole-headquartered affordable house builder AJC Group has been appointed onto the PROSPER New Build Framework, which, it says, will help it develop hundreds of sustainable homes across the Wessex region year-on- year.

PROSPER is run by a North-East based  business consultancy and its New Build Framework was launched earlier this year.  AJC Group will be a part of the supply chain for upcoming contracts in the South of England.

Ben Peddie, construction director at AJC Group, said: "It is a fantastic opportunity and also another achievement for the team. AJC Group is the youngest company to ever be crowned Housebuilder of the Year at the South Coast Property Awards, having also picked up Fast Rising Property Business of the Year in 2022. More recently, we scooped affordable housing development of the year at the 2023 Insider South West Property Awards.

"The opportunities this new Framework could deliver will help us meet or exceed our targets of developing hundreds of quality sustainable homes across the Wessex region year on year. Our dedicated team can fully resource and manage call-off contracts, evidenced by our proven track record of delivering high EPC-rated residential schemes."

To be included in the framework, companies are assessed on six objectives, including contact management and overview of the team, quality management, customer care and communications, management and sub-contractors, supply chain management, and training and development.

Established six years ago, AJC Group is on track to deliver over 200 mixed-tenure homes during 2023, reflecting a total construction value of more than £100 million. In six years it has tripled its turnover, profit, and team.

It currently has six sites under construction, including a development in Okeford Fitzpaine village near Blandford in Dorset. It has live projects on Lindsay Road, The Sloop, and Herbert Avenue in Poole and the Sonnet apartment scheme in Bournemouth.

The company has also recently started construction at one of its largest projects, for 57 affordable houses and apartments for Aster Group within the former Dorchester Brewery regeneration scheme.
