Award-winning Oxfordshire-based luxury watch company Bremont will become the latest brand to launch at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway in a 455 sq ft store secured on a five-year lease, in a joint venture with Signet Jewelers.

Bremont watches are stocked in 12 brand boutiques and selected independent retailers globally but the company has selected Cribbs for its seventh branded boutique in the UK, which is due to open in time for Christmas.

Founded by brothers Nick and Giles English in 2002, Bremont is a proudly British company, producing beautifully engineered chronometers at The Wing, its manufacturing and technology headquarters in Henley-on-Thames. Its vision centres on bringing British watchmaking back to the UK.

Another UK-based business, Bubble CiTea is also set to open in readiness to refresh Christmas Cribbs shoppers as they seek out gifts for loved ones. Popping bubbles give a point of difference in what is a fast-paced drinks market, with a menu offering freshly prepared fruit and milk teas and crushed ice drinks. The 533 sq ft store will be in the former IQOS unit, adjacent to Molton Brown and the Perfume Shop.

Alongside these new brands, EE is investing in a new, larger 1,667 sq ft store at The Mall for a further five years. Meanwhile, Vision Express has committed to refit its current store as it signs up for a further five-year lease at Cribbs.

Against this backdrop of lettings, upsizings and store refits, together with the recent arrivals of Tommy Hilfiger, ProCook, Ribble Cycles and Therapie (with H Beauty to open next year in the centre of the scheme), The Mall at Cribbs Causeway has underlined its position as a sought-after regional shopping destination.

Colin Flinn, spokesperson for The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, said: “Our position as the location of choice for brands seeking a presence in the South West is becoming stronger with every new lease signed.

"We are very excited to add another South West first to the Cribbs line-up in the form of luxury watchmaker, Bremont.

"Our extensive and loyal catchment of customers has demonstrated an obvious appetite for physical retail and how much they value an enjoyable shopping experience; we are committed to continually enhancing this experience by pro-actively bringing the very best brands to Cribbs.”

Bremont co-founder Giles English said: “It’s fantastic to build on a long-standing retail relationship and to have such a wonderful retailer partner like Signet working with us to grow our unique store concepts around the UK.

"We’re delighted to now have a boutique in The Mall at Cribbs Causeway where we can showcase our full collections and deliver an exceptional level of customer service.”

The Mall at Cribbs Causeway is home to 153 shops and restaurants. Employing over 6,000 people from within a 20-mile radius, The Mall also serves both local and national businesses by providing a major regional hub for UK and international retailers.

Time Retail Partners and Cushman & Wakefield are The Mall at Cribbs Causeway’s retained letting agent.

The Mall at Cribbs Causeway recently received the Retailer Liaison and Covid Resilience awards at the SCEPTRE Awards which recognise the best practice and the best people in the shopping centre industry.
