Real-estate consultancy Savills has appointed experienced chartered town planner David Bainbridge as a director in its planning division in Oxford.
Bainbridge has extensive experience in the industry, specialising in strategic residential and mixed-use development. He has joined Savills after 15 years at property consultancy Bidwells, where he was a partner. Prior to this, he worked for seven years in local government in Milton Keynes, Northampton and East Cambridgeshire.
Commenting on his appointment, he said: “I am delighted to become a part of the region’s leading team of planning consultants. Savills has an excellent reputation for delivering a high-quality of service and meaningful results for its clients, many of whom are longstanding. I look forward to making my mark here by further building on its impressive track record of success.”
From its base in Oxford, Savills services a variety of developer, promotor and land owner clients across Oxfordshire and its neighbouring counties. Bainbridge will focus on work within the Oxford-Cambridge Arc, a key area for growth and development in the coming years.
Rob Linnell, head of planning for Savills Oxford, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome David to Savills. We pride ourselves on the scope of experience and expertise we are able to offer our clients and David’s in-depth knowledge and specialist skills made him an ideal fit within our team.”
