Residential lettings expert Kelly Matthews has been appointed as head of Savills specialist team in Oxford.
Matthews replaces Max Utting who left Savills at the end of 2019 to take a year out to travel with his young family. She has more than 14 years’ experience in the residential lettings sector and has held a key role in the Savills Oxford team since she joined the business in 2013.
Commenting on her head of department role, Matthews said: “It is a privilege to take up the reins from Max, who has been a fantastic colleague over the years.
“Savills has serviced the Oxfordshire lettings market for since 2011, during which time we have been pleased to become a leading agent in the sector. I am looking forward to further growing our business, especially here in the vibrant city market and amongst families, who have become increasingly active over the last 12 months.
“Oxford is a fantastic place to live and work – I have lived here ever since I moved from London to join Savills. The lifestyle and cultural opportunities on our doorstep are second to none, and there is something for everyone in terms of the breadth of property on offer.”
Charles Elsmore-Wickens, head of Savills residential office in Oxford, said: “Kelly is an exceptional lettings negotiator and a real asset to our busy team.
“With a presence in Oxford for over 20 years, Savills is a respected name in real estate. Our dedicated residential team, based in Summertown, offers specialist expertise in lettings, new development sales and re-sales, working collaboratively to provide our clients with a breadth and depth of service that is unrivalled in the local market.”
