Schroder UK Real Estate Fund (SREF) has announced that its Hartlebury Trading Estate (Hartlebury) has surpassed 99% occupancy with only one unit of 16,755 sq ft available.
Hartlebury is Worcestershire’s largest trading estate and encompasses 1.87 million sq ft over 230 acres. It recently welcomed Chloros Environmental, one of the UK’s fastest growing hazardous waste management companies, who took a 41,107 sq ft letting at the site.
Chloros Environmental was founded by Richard Hurdle and Jason Lee in 2009 and operates across England, Wales and Scotland. A joint venture has enabled the company to open a new fully licensed transfer facility in the West Midlands and in 2013 it was decided to rebrand the company to reflect its rapid growth into new markets.
The team of chemists, technical specialists, administrators and sales professionals continues to provide exemplary service to its customers, evidenced through the company being recognised as a finalist for ‘Small Business of the Year’ at this year’s Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber Business Awards.
Earlier this year SREF completed a 113,284 sq ft letting to WINIT (UK) Ltd for units 303-307 at Hartlebury on a new five year deal.
WINIT Information Technology Co. is an integrated supply chain solutions provider for cross-border e-commerce that is headquartered in China and counts Ebay, TNT, DPP, DHL and Royal Mail amongst its partners.
The e-commerce specialist already has facilities in Manchester and Leicestershire, making Hartlebury its first warehouse in the south of England.
The lettings follow a run of deals at Hartlebury last year to T E C Electric Motors Ltd, the UK’s largest electric motor distributor; technical industries human resources provider, Resource Group; and Apex Supply Chain Technologies Ltd.
Neil Meredith, Head of Business Space, Schroder UK Real Estate Fund, comments: “Demand for high-quality industrial space continues to rise and as a result we have seen a growing interest for units at Hartlebury Trading Estate. This letting to Chloros Environmental ensures that the trading estate is near maximum occupancy."
