Portsmouth workspace Lakeside North Harbour has agreed to lease 3,100 square feet of space to NHS Property Services.

The newly leased site will house a new South East Smarter Working Hub, a hybrid working space featuring offices intentionally designed to encourage a collaborative working environment.

Among the facilities on offer at the newly refurbished space are huddle booths and meeting rooms, fitted with new furniture to create a modern working space for up to 60 employees.

Zoe Thomson (featured above), national office programme manager at NHS Property Services, said: “Lakeside is an exciting place to work and has a number of attractive benefits for our people, including its onsite facilities, outdoor space and abundant parking, which helped with our decision to choose the site.

“With flexible working in place post-pandemic, we wanted to make the office a collaborative working experience so that our people can take full advantage of opportunities to come together.

“Our new South East Smarter Working Hub at Lakeside supports our aims to offer our people best-in-class facilities and an environment that encourages interaction and teamwork.”

In tandem with the office space, NHS Property Services has taken separate storage space of 1,600 square feet, which will be used by its operations team.

Simon Bateman (featured above), asset manager at Lakeside North Harbour, said: “We have found that, post-pandemic, what businesses need from office space is changing. There is a clear focus shift towards collaborative working and providing environments that benefit employee health and wellbeing.

“We’re very pleased to have supported NHS Property Services in the creation of its new South East Hub. At Lakeside, we always go the extra mile to meet our tenants’ specific needs, and we look forward to seeing NHS Property Services benefit from our modern facilities and 130-acre landscaped grounds.”
