New jobs in Kent as Panattoni Park welcomes three leading businesses

Three new businesses have moved into facilities at the 90-acre Panattoni Park in Aylesford, offering a major jobs boost for Kent.

The site is now home to global logistics company DHL, temperature-controlled logistics company Fowler Welch, and manufacturer and supplier of pitched roof systems Marley. All three units were built to a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’ and EPC rating of ‘A’ or higher.

Situated near Junction 4 of the M20, Panattoni Park is owned and managed by international developer Panattoni. CBRE, Avison Young and JLL are acting as agents.

DHL’s 110,406 sq ft facility is set to form part of its network of last-mile hubs serving customers across the South East.

Fowler Welch will bring 200 staff to its new 97,891 sq ft unit, which features a 1.5MVA photovoltaic array, car park canopy, and cycle shelter.

Marley takes a smaller 9,945 sq ft design-and-build facility, to be used for storage and distribution. The company is set to relocate its current operation and employees from nearby Wrotham.

The new occupiers join parcel delivery business Evri, which moved into a 78,794 sq ft unit at the park last year.

This early leasing success encouraged Panattoni to begin speculative development of a 752,823 sq ft facility, due for completion in the fourth quarter of 2023. The developer also has planning consent for an additional 400,000 sq ft of mezzanine space.

“We are determined to deliver on our promise to build a logistics and distribution facility that is a benchmark for sustainability and a home for thousands of new jobs for Kent.”
