A Warwick business has followed in the footsteps of many UK housebuilders by re-opening the majority of its construction sites.

AC Lloyd Homes closed all of its sites, show homes and marketing suites when the nationwide lockdown was officially announced on March 23 due to Covid-19.

The property development and investment company, which won the Property Business of the Year and Business of the Year titles at the Leamington Business Awards 2019, has re-opened its sites at Oakley Grove and Victoria Point in Leamington and Kingswood Place in Lapworth today (Monday, May 11) while The Cricketers at Radford Semele will open slightly later.

Workers and sub-contractors have resumed construction on creating homes for the Leamington and Lapworth communities in accordance with social distancing guidelines from the Government and the Construction Leadership Council.

Alistair Clark, managing director of AC Lloyd Homes, said they were focusing on homes which were nearly completed.

He said: “We have opened sites where there are houses which are mid-completion or where the exchange has been completed so that people who have been waiting patiently for their homes to progress will shortly be able to move in.

“In light of many housebuilders in the country having returned to their sites, we are looking to open three sites in a limited capacity with the fourth to open soon after.

“We have been given the green light to resume working following Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s new advice on Sunday night and site procedures will be in place to ensure social distancing while working on construction sites.”
