The Maidenhead purchase includes 3.35 acres over three separate sites at Clivemont Road, which will offer asset management, immediate and future redevelopment opportunities. Kier Property will initially implement the consented light industrial scheme under its Trade City brand with completion anticipated in 2019. A future Logistics City scheme is expected to come forward on the neighbouring plot. Kier was advised by Savills and the vendor by local agents, Caxtons.
Pip Prongué, managing director (South) of Kier Property, said: “Kier Property identified the lack of supply and strong demand in which made this purchase a fantastic opportunity. Demand for new industrial stock remains high, with very limited second-hand stock on the market. The addition of Crossrail is also expected to have an impact on the town and we are delighted to be developing stock here.”
