Specialist photographer Ryan Wicks has set up his first office at Bond’s Mill, Stonehouse, owned by Robert Hitchins Ltd.

Ryan specialises in shooting interior spaces and furnishings for the interior design and hospitality market. He works all over the UK for designers, developers, hotels and home-interest magazines.

His move from Kent to Gloucestershire, coupled with the arrival of a baby daughter, meant the spare bedroom was no longer a viable work space.

“I was looking for a simple office space to do my photo-editing and admin which was close to home in King’s Stanley and would provide a welcome separation between home and work life,” he said.

“I chose Bond’s Mill for its location – near the M5 and to my home. Its setting on the canal and the opportunity to grow into a bigger space in future was also a factor.

“Everyone involved with setting up the new lease has been friendly and helpful. Taking on my first office space is a landmark in my business and I feel I made a good choice with Bond’s Mill.”

Robert Hitchins’ Helen Hawke welcomed Ryan to The Wheelhouse at the Bond’s Mill estate which sits alongside the Stroudwater Canal and River Frome in a mix of refurbished Victorian mill buildings and modern commercial premises.

“Bond’s Mill has a wide range of space, with Ryan’s office being the smallest unit available. It’s perfect for those looking to swap their home office for one within a business community which is thriving despite the challenges of Covid,” she said.

Bond’s Mill is on the A419 near Stroud. It offers on-site management with 50 tenants in premises ranging from 100 to 15,000 sq ft and accommodates many start-ups as well as established companies such as UK Power Solutions, Omega Resource and RSK Biocensus.

The agent was John Hawkins, of Hawkins Watton, Stroud.
