Havant: Fat Face moves into new business park
International clothing brand Fat Face has moved into the first unit at Portsmouth City Council's brand new business park in Havant.
Dunsbury Park is a major new 45-acre industrial and distribution business park the Council is building on council-owned land next to junction 3 of the A3(M). The Dunsbury Park project will provide up to 3,500 jobs.
Donna Jones, leader of Portsmouth City Council, said: "This commercial development is a big part of the entrepreneurial approach that we're taking to the running of the city. We're delighted to welcome Fat Face to Dunsbury Park and we look forward to working with more new tenants in the future.
"This is a really good example of how we can use council assets to generate income, strengthen the local economy and boost jobs. The rental income generated by this scheme can be used to fund vital council services in Portsmouth."
Dunsbury Park offers bespoke facilities on a built-to-suit basis from 20,000 sq ft to 200,000 sq ft.
The Council has planning permission to develop 665,000 sq ft of warehouse, manufacturing and office space and the site also has provision for hotel and conference facilities totalling 60,000 sq ft.
Dunsbury Park is served by a new link road directly funded by the Council and the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership.
Fat Face has taken a pre-let unit of 80,000 sq ft with a 40,000 sq ft expansion option.
