Graven Hill sells 76-acre site set to support 1,000+ Oxfordshire jobs

Graven Hill Village Development Company (GHVDC) has sold a 76-acre employment site to a US-based real estate developer.

Situated close to the Bicester Village Designer Outlet in Oxfordshire, Graven Hill is the UK’s largest self and custom build residential development.

White Commercial advised GHVDC on the purchase of the roughly 600-acre commercial and residential development site from the Ministry of Defence in 2013.

The 76-acre commercial development, which will support more than 1,000 new jobs, has outline planning permission for over 1.1 million sq ft of storage and distribution space.

Bicester is currently experiencing significant commercial and residential growth and investment, with its population expected to grow from 30,000 to over 50,000 in the next 6 years.

White Commercial’s M40 Office and Knight Frank London supported the company through this latest sale.

Adrian Unitt, operations director at GHVDC, said: “Graven Hill is a sustainable development, offering a wide variety of choice in terms of housing and set in expansive green spaces.

“It’s supported by community facilities such as the new primary school, Market Square Dental’s state-of-the-art practice, Wine Rack and Wine Valley Cocktail Bar and a new coffee bar.

“The sale of the employment site further enhances the development’s sustainability credentials, creating new job opportunities alongside a thriving community.”

Chris White, managing director of White Commercial, added: “This is excellent news for Bicester and Oxfordshire region.

“There’s significant interest in the area from both manufacturing and distribution companies wishing to locate to modern facilities in central England close to Oxford and along the excellent London to Birmingham M40.

“This Investment will provide both quality employment opportunities and also additional economic investment and growth for the region.”
