Floc. Brewery open for business at Folkestone Harbour
Kent beer brand Floc. Brewery has moved into the main bar at The Goods Yard, serving up pints for visitors to Folkestone Harbour.
Floc. started off in 2020 as an at-home operation, with the founders brewing 150 cans per batch.
Their hoppy, hazy beers – now brewed at the company’s taproom in Canterbury – have since earned a strong reputation both locally and overseas.
Floc. joins nine other independent bars and street food kiosks at The Goods Yard, an outdoor plaza complete with big-screen sports broadcasts, events, and free cinema seasons over the summer and festive periods.

Founder Ross Shields said: “We’re thrilled to be embarking on a new adventure at The Goods Yard.
“Securing a spot in such a dynamic environment is a dream come true for our small independent business.
“Our offer will include our core range of modern draft and canned beer, complemented by weekly specials fresh from the brewery.
“Additionally, we'll feature locally produced Nightingale cider, exceptional cocktails by Black Lines, and a select wine list showcasing local and international producers.
“This marks our inaugural venture beyond Canterbury, and we extend our gratitude to the Folkestone Harbour team for their unwavering support and confidence in our vision for this space.
“We’re committed to enhancing the already vibrant atmosphere of the venue and are optimistic that our selections will appeal to both the local community and visitors.”
Floc. will be open on weekends from 12pm to 4pm until the end of March.
Paulo Kingston-Correia, general manager of Folkestone Harbour and Seafront Development Company, added: “We’ve been watching Floc.’s impressive growth with admiration for some time.
“Floc. offers everything we love to see from the innovative array of independent food and drink businesses on our site.
“The team are ambitious – they’re offering something that is high quality, fresh and new.
“We’re confident that they’ll be a great addition to our site and a real hit with our audience.
“Floc. recently announced a number of expansion plans for 2024 and we’re delighted that this new bar on the coast sits at the very centre of their exciting next chapter.”
