Royal London Asset Management has successfully completed the final letting of its 192,000 sq. ft. Blacklands Way development at Abingdon Business Park in Oxfordshire.

Millbrook Healthcare, a leading provider of community equipment, has relocated from Milton Park to take a new 5-year lease on Unit 15 Blacklands Way.  The unit, comprising 4,000 sq ft is currently undergoing refurbishment by new owners Royal London and asset manager XLB.

Jonathan Ralph, National Operations Manager at Millbrook Healthcare said: “As part of Millbrook Healthcare’s continued expansion, we’re pleased to move our service centre with our dedicated team for installing and maintaining ceiling track hoists and stair lifts into the business park. Our new service centre is currently being refurbished, to ensure it meets our needs, to help us to continue to make a difference to our service users’ lives.”

Meanwhile, Hitachi High-Tech Analytical Science and Briggs Equipment UK have extended their occupation at the Park.

Analytical instrument manufacturer, Hitachi High-Tech Analytical Science set up a new global headquarters at the Park in 2018 and has now doubled its footprint by taking a further 3,600 sq ft at Windrush Court on a lease until 2028.

Dawn Books, Managing Director Hitachi High-Tech Analytical Science, said: “We’ve recently expanded our global headquarters at Abingdon to better support our growing business in providing essential high-tech analysis equipment to industry: Streamlining costs, minimising risk and maximising quality.”

Briggs Equipment UK Limited is a national distributor of forklift trucks and has been based at Abingdon Business Park for over two decades.  The company, which has eight UK regional distribution centres, has re-committed to Hitching Court on 3,000 sq. ft. for a further seven years.

Will Hawking at Royal London Asset Management added: “We are very happy to have let the final unit at our Blacklands Way scheme and warmly welcome Millbrook Healthcare to join our thriving business community at Abingdon Business Park. Despite Covid 19 and the lockdown, we are pleased to see existing occupiers are committing to the Park for the long term.”

Abingdon Business Park is a 50-acre mixed-use scheme comprising 414,000 sq ft of office, research and development and industrial property.  The secure site benefits from 24-hour security, an on-site park management team and is home to over 35 businesses employing over 2,500 people.

Located at the heart of Oxfordshire’s economic and knowledge corridor units are available from 2,500 sq ft and there is a further 15,000 sq ft of offices currently being developed.
