Fareham-based Amiri Construction, founded by managing director Grahame Pettit and fellow director Kevin Lendon, has published its annual report showing turnover reached £37 million, compared with £29.04m in 2016.

In December 2016, Amiri Construction introduced a new board and additional shareholders. Now, growth in sectors including education, commercial, leisure and industrial developments, and some key residential contracts, has seen project values range between £180k and £10m across Southern England.

Pettit said the company had not experienced any Brexit-related slowdown in the number of projects recently gained in the current financial year.

“We are not complacent and continue to work hard to ensure that the projects that we accept can be achieved on time and on budget and uphold the values required to be a considerate constructor, not just on the way we work on site but in how we communicate with clients, architects and all concerned with a project,” said Pettit.

The company has now launched Amiri Interiors to provide refurbishment and fit-out projects to new and existing client. One project at the Brighton Hove & Sussex Sixth Form College has been successfully completed, another long-term contract with Romsey School is now underway.

The next 12 months for the team of 35 based at the head office at Segensworth is expected to be as busy with over £24m worth of projects already gained.
