Land agents at Harris Lamb have been instructed to sell the former college site in Evesham for redevelopment.

The 4.15-acre site on Davies Road is earmarked for redevelopment, and the business’ Residential Land team has placed the plot on the market and is welcoming offers for the opportunity.

Located a short walk away from Evesham town centre, the site comprises the southern part of the Evesham College Campus, made up of part car parking provision for the college along with vacant college buildings.

James Willcock, of Harris Lamb’s Residential Land team, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for developers seeking suitable sites for development to address demand for additional quality homes in Evesham.

"The college will be retaining the buildings to the north of the site and running educational courses from the reduced campus. Meanwhile, an indicative scheme has been designed to utilise this site for 57 two- and three-bedroom houses - however we are inviting proposals, subject to planning.

“The land parcel is in a great location, situated just a few minutes from the A46, and surrounded by established retailers, parks and residential properties. The town centre, which is a short walk away, has a wide range of shops, schools, sports clubs, leisure centres and restaurants, and the site itself is very well served by bus links to and from Worcester, Cheltenham and Stratford- upon-Avon.

“With demand for quality housing remaining high throughout Worcestershire, we are confident that there will be a great deal of interest in this development opportunity from a number of developers offering different schemes. As such, we will be accepting both unconditional offers, and those subject to planning consent,” he said.

James added that there is potential for a range of uses at this site, subject to complying policies in the South Worcestershire Development Plan, which can be discussed with Harris Lamb’s Planning Consultancy team.

Offers are sought by noon on Monday October 31.
