Laboratory products specialist Alpha Laboratories is expanding into additional premises in Eastleigh in a deal transacted by commercial property agents Lambert Smith Hampton.
The growing company, which occupies Unit 40 Parham Drive on the Boyatt Wood Industrial Estate, is to take on the 3,141 sq ft Unit 5, positioned opposite.
Industrial and logistics specialists from LSH’s Southampton offices acted for DTZ Investors, instructing on behalf of the landlord Kent County Council, to facilitate the expansion.
The transaction means that the terrace in which Unit 5 is situated is now fully let by LSH on behalf of the landlord, following completion last year on Unit 11 with Dorset Autospares and Unit 12 to L J Smith Family Butcher.
Robert Vint, managing director of Alpha Laboratories, said: “This is a big step for our business as it continues to grow, both in size and in reputation as a leading supplier of quality products and support to laboratories and scientists in the UK and internationally. Due to our growth it was crucial that we found additional premises that were suitable for our needs as well as being conveniently situated. We are grateful to the knowledgeable Industrial team at LSH for their expertise in this transaction.”
Dan Rawlings, surveyor – industrial at LSH, said: “We are pleased to have fully let this terrace at a busy and thriving business park on behalf of our client. This is a convenient and strategic move for Alpha Laboratories, and we wish them all the best for future success and growth in their new home.”
