Electric Assisted Vehicles Ltd (EAV) has moved from Upper Heyford to new premises at Units 6 & 7 Wates Way (13,000 sq ft) in Banbury.

The two units were leased in a combination following a comprehensive refurbishment programme by landlords Mileway, handled by asset manager Richard Evans. The Acre Estate at Wates Way is located on the Wildmere Industrial Estate in Banbury, Oxfordshire, close to Junction 11 of the London to Birmingham M40 Motorway.

EAV Ltd are on a mission to revolutionise urban environments by providing sustainable and efficient ‘eCargo’ bikes, empowering communities to embrace new transport solutions and are at the forefront of this change, having developed an award winning eCargo bike specifically for this rapidly growing market segment. EAV help their customers increase their efficiency and reduce their carbon impact, while easing congestion on busy roads around the world.

Lewis Stallard, Project Engineer at EAV, said: We have relocated from a site in Upper Heyford, Bicester, to The Acre Estate since consolidating our supply chain and currently have 25 people employed with us on site, whilst we continue working with teams in Asia and throughout the UK and Italy.

Moving into a newly refurbished site has raised all of our standards and has given us all a boost. We've just landed our biggest order to date, and we look forward to sustained growth in the business on the Acre Estate after securing a long term lease!”.

The transaction to EAV Ltd follows two other successful lettings at the scheme also handled by White Commercial, including Unit 9 Wates Way to DB Foods Ltd (6,700 sq ft) and Unit 10 Wates Way to IST INTECH (19,000 sq ft).

DB Foods is a national meat wholesaler supplying a complete range of meat, poultry and deli items to high street butchers, catering butchers and foodservice throughout the UK with depots based in both Banbury and Poole servicing customers using its own fleet of vehicles.

IST INTECH is a market leader in UV LED and UV Lamp innovation and remains at the forefront of the digital revolution, offering a comprehensive product range from standard and tailored products through to highly-specialised and bespoke solutions, designed and manufactured in-house to meet customer individual requirements.
