Didcot: Bidwells agents for important retail scheme at Great Western Park
Bidwells will be the agents for The District Centre, a much-needed retail scheme which has just been launched at Great Western Park, Didcot and which is due to open next summer. The scheme will serve the large-scale housing development of 3,300 homes at the park as well as the adjacent Valley Park site, which has a strategic allocation of 2,550 homes.
ASDA has already confirmed it will be taking an 11,000 sq ft store at the Centre which has a further 10 new retail units now available to rent for a variety of uses such as a pharmacy, vets, bakers, hairdressers, dry cleaners, estate agents, bookmakers, restaurants and hot-food take-aways.
Robert Beatson from Bidwells said: “The District Centre will form the social and retailing hub for local residents and the wider Didcot population.”
Didcot is undergoing a wave of new development and other new facilities at Great Western Park include a secondary school , a technical college, a primary school, a public house, a community centre and a children’s day nursery.
