City Fibre fill final Brandon Court space in Coventry's Brindley Industrial Estate

The final suite of the 33,689 sq ft Brandon Court development on Coventry’s Brindley Industrial Estate has been let to City Fibre.

A number of refurbishments were made to the unit before City Fibre moved in to bring it up to a 'Grade A' specification; this included the installation of electric vehicle charging points, which are increasingly becoming a standard feature of such developments.

The 4,047 sq ft space was let by Birmingham-based real estate investment trust Real Estate Investors PLC (REI), and follows the letting of Block D earlier this year.

Of that development, Ian Clark, Director of Asset Management at REI, said: “That space had been occupied by Yazaki Europe Ltd.  As part of their global restructuring a deal was struck to allow them to surrender the space for a premium.

“Part of that was employed in splitting the space into two units and refurbishing it to a Grade A specification.  After a short marketing campaign by Drake Howard, both suites were let.”

Comex 2000 (UK) Ltd took 3,585 sq ft while 8,415 sq ft went to Bennetts Motorcycling Services Ltd, with both agreeing to six-year terms. Coventry’s commercial property consultancy Drake Howard undertook and oversaw both the lettings and the associated refurbishment on the pair.
