Cheltenham's Hub8 leaves brewery to move to Minster Exchange

Hub 8, the co-working support organisation for Cheltenham's cyber and tech community is leaving its brewery offices to move to new accommodation at nearby Minster Exchange (The MX).

Kurt Wyman Surveyors has been appointed to let its former modern offices at The Brewery Quarter in Cheltenham. The open plan office extends to approximately 6,120 sq ft and with its own ground floor entrance, lift, high concrete ceilings, exposed services, floor to ceiling windows and air conditioning throughout. 

Sam Williams of Kurt Wyman Surveyors said: “The office offers an impressive and contemporary working environment in what is now regarded as the leading location in Cheltenham Town centre”. 

The Brewery Quarter comprises a mix of leisure, retail and office occupiers including F45 Fitness, Soho Coffee, Brewdog, Cineworld, Montpellier Legal and SLG Brands. 

Sam added: “Post Covid, the office market has changed. With hybrid and flexible working arrangements, office occupiers may not require as much accommodation, however, are prepared to pay for better quality that provides an inspiring and exciting working environment for their staff.” 

The MX, where Hub 8 is heading, is an urban rejuvenation scheme.

The £9.27million MX project is partly funded from a government funding bid. This resulted in grants totalling £3.514 million from the government's ‘Getting Building Fund’ and from the Growth Hub via GFirst LEP — Gloucestershire’s Local Enterprise Partnership, which has now closed. The modular construction building which will house workspace for the cyber tech, digital and creative sectors, an event space and cafe.
