Panasonic has brought its UK headquarters and a five-acre development site in Bracknell to market and simultaneously launched an office requirement in the South East.
The global electronics manufacturer has instructed Strutt & Parker and Wadham & Isherwood to sell the 85,000 sq ft office building seeking offers in excess of £8.5 million.
Panasonic UK is now seeking to relocate its UK HQ to a new location within the Bracknell area and market sources say it is scouring the area for up to 50,000 sq ft.
The three-storey building is situated on Willoughby Road adjacent to Blackrock’s Capitol. It sits on 4.8 acres and has 389 car parking spaces, offering a parking ratio of 1:218 sq ft. In addition to the opportunities the site offers as an office location, it also has the potential for alternative uses such as industrial, warehousing and residential, subject to planning.
Ed Smith, head of national markets office agency at Strutt & Parker, said: “This vacant possession sale represents a rare opportunity within the popular town and we anticipate interest from a wide variety of parties – from owner occupiers to office refurbishment specialists and developers looking at alternative uses.”
