Bournemouth: Dutton Gregory welcomes new partner

Local law firm Dutton Gregory celebrates the appointment of new residential property partner, Amanda Watts, based in its new and modern Bournemouth office.

Heading up Bournemouth’s residential property offering, Watts brings a wealth of experience and expertise with her. Having previously been partner at firms based in Bishop’s Stortford and Bath, Watts has over 16 years' experience of working hard for her clients in a variety of property matters – from purchases, sales, re-mortgaging and more.

With the property market being impacted by the coronavirus pandemic and government interventions, Watts joins a hard-working and dedicated residential property team at Dutton Gregory. She joins the firm as it pledges to go the extra mile for clients during this turbulent time. In light of the impending deadline of the government’s stamp duty holiday in June, the firm are pledging that all affected clients who do not complete their property transaction before the deadline will not have to pay their legal fees.*

Watts brings compassion and ambition to this new role, stating: “Joining Dutton Gregory at such a pivotal time in the industry is exciting. I really look forward to being part of a proactive, professional team here. I’ll be continuing to build on the hard work and expertise the team has here in Dorset, and to growing the team even further.”

Partner and head of property, Paul Sams, says: “Amanda is a great addition to our team and we are all really pleased she decided to join us. I am sure with her level of expertise she will be a huge asset to not only Dutton Gregory but to the property market as a whole in Dorset. Amanda’s vast experience and knowledge will help many people.”

Watts' appointment also comes as Dutton Gregory’s Bournemouth team moved to more modern premises at Regus Oxford Point. Making the move in January 2021, these new offices facilitate a more contemporary and collaborative working space as the firm looks towards more flexible, innovative working arrangements.
