The Cordwallis Group has taken a new lease on 11 Granville Way in Bicester. Cordwallis Group is a family-owned business that was established in 1971 and has grown steadily over the years, with Volkswagen Van, MAN Truck and Isuzu Truck franchises covering the London and Thames Valley areas.

The group has expanded operations in Oxfordshire taking a new 14,540 sq ft industrial and distribution unit with a large secure yard on a site area of over 1.14 acres in Bicester. The building and site, owned by a well-known property company in Bicester, has been extensively refurbished for the use of Cordwallis.

Bicester is at the forefront of Oxfordshire’s growth plan due to the area’s exceptional road and rail connections and the population is expected to rise by a further 20,000 in 2031. Bicester’s location on the M40 close to Oxford and Bicester Village Designer Retail Outlet is at the heart of a dynamic regional economy with strong growth in the hi-tech and science-based sectors, as well as advanced manufacturing and logistics distribution.

Harvey White, commercial property negotiator at White Commercial Surveyors, said: “White Commercial Surveyors have successfully paired family-owned automotive industry user Cordwallis Group with the well positioned, newly refurbished premises in the heart of Bicester. Coupled with the superb secure yard within the well-established Granville Way Industrial Estate, the site was practically tailor-made for this customer-focused automotive business."

Simon and Ian Thomas, owners of Cordwallis, commented: “We offer total commercial vehicle solutions, with franchises in Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle, MAN Truck and Bus and Isuzu Truck. We look forward to moving into our new site later on in the year and benefiting from the excellent services Bicester has to offer. We are excited to be working with local businesses whilst continuing to work with our current customers.”
