Affordable housing partner AJC Group is celebrating the completion of its largest development to date – The Sloop in Poole.

The team gathered on the communal terrace for the ribbon cutting and a glass of champagne to mark the final milestone.

The Poole-based company was also celebrating its recent double win at the South Coast Property Awards 2024, hosted by The Business Magazine.

AJC Group scooped two awards – Housebuilder of the Year and Residential Development of the Year for The Sloop.

Sebastian Janes, managing director of AJC Group, said: “We are thrilled to have completed our flagship development, The Sloop.

“These homes are in a stand-out location within an easy walk of Ashley Cross and Poole Park, and boast stand-out views from the communal roof terrace.

“The Sloop is our largest project to date, and one our most high-tech with a raft of energy saving features and an innovative underground smart bin system – a first for us at AJC Group and the first major subterranean bin system for the whole of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

“We’d like to thank everyone who was involved with this project – our local suppliers, contractors and most importantly our team.

“Without their commitment and hard work, we’d not be standing on this roof terrace now, and we’d not be celebrating our incredible award wins.”

The £15 million apartment scheme consists of 86 studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments for open market sale and rent.

Located on Commercial Road in the centre of Poole, the site was previously the home of The Sloop pub, which had lay vacant for several years. The gas free development boasts air source heat pumps,  electric panel radiators, electric vehicle charging points and a high quality finish throughout.

Prices start from £180,000 for a studio to £500,000 for a three-bedroom apartment with private roof terrace and are available to purchase with a 5 per cent deposit, under the Deposit Unlock Scheme.
