Since 1975, the team at Spectrum Workplace has been working in close partnership with ambitious businesses to really identify their needs and devise solutions to help increase productivity, retain top talent and aid business growth, writes Jim Fidler, partner and workplace consultant, Spectrum.

Spectrum’s expertise doesn’t stop at interior design; we have years of experience in the full design-and-build of agile workspaces.

We take care of everything from auditing how you use the space in the initial workspace consultation to the complete fit-out of a new office. Whether you are looking to move, expand or simply refurbish, we will make these changes as simple as possible to avoid disruption.

With people as the most valuable asset of any business, we understand that everything we do is about people. As such, the main aim of our workplace solution is simple; to create spaces that allow teams to do their best work.

Visit our inspirational showroom

Spectrum’s 5000 sq ft showroom, spread over two floors of our head office in Havant, is the perfect inspirational starting point for any workspace fit-out. The working showroom provides a wide range of spaces, design ideas and furniture options that will help you to get inspired about your project. Our workspace consultants and designers will be on hand to walk you through the design and creative process.

The stunning showroom features a modern kitchen, private working spaces as well as collaborative areas for team working. The presentation area has an incredible sample library full of beautiful fabric swatches, wall covering and flooring options so you can really get creative with the team and start building up your ideas. We are constantly coming up with creative new ideas, using the showroom as a testing ground to see what works and how they can push the boundaries of office interiors and the use of unique furniture.

Client case study: Aerial Direct

Aerial Direct is a leading independent telecoms provider and the largest direct business partner of O2 in the UK with over 115,000 customers. Aerial Direct chose to partner with Spectrum Workplace on a complete design-and-build exercise for its new headquarters in Fareham, Hampshire.

Following rapid expansion, Aerial Direct had outgrown its premises in Gosport, Hampshire and needed to move to facilitate its business growth plans, demonstrate its status as an industry leader and set it apart from any other employer in its industry to attract and retain the best talent.

The new site had to accommodate its contact centre function while also creating a high-end feel for hosting clients from across the UK. A key requirement was a state-of-the-art demo suite to showcase the latest products on the market.

The demo suite was a completely new concept and needed to be a flexible showpiece space with multiple purposes. To achieve this, the Spectrum team incorporated quiet touchdown areas, booths for collaborative working and a mixture of open and enclosed meeting spaces alongside a more traditional boardroom allowing for a wide range of furniture.

The 26,000 sq ft design-and-build project features a fantastic mix of luxury and functionality. Key areas created were: a luxury management suite, customer facing demo suite, 3,000 sq ft breakout space, training facilities and a contact centre.
