Gigaclear plc, Michael Weinig (UK) and M-Flow Technologies have expanded their business accommodation at Abingdon Business Park, together more than doubling their floor space.

The park is a 50-acre mixed-use scheme comprising 360,000 sq ft of office, research and development, and industrial property accommodation. It is owned by Rockspring Property Investment Managers LLP (Rockspring) and asset managed by XLB.

Gigaclear, the pure-fibre ultrafast broadband provider has moved from 3,000 sq ft at Hitching Court to the newly-refurbished Windrush Court and now occupies two floors of office suites totalling 10,500 sq ft. Gigaclear provides broadband speeds up to 30 times faster than the UK average to rural homes and businesses. Such speeds mean a three-hour feature film can be downloaded in 1 minute, 23 songs in less than 10 seconds, and 200 photos in less than 10 seconds.

Simon Bullock from Gigaclear said: “We have enjoyed significant growth. Abingdon Business Park is a fantastic location for our business, providing us with an exceptional working environment which is strategically located and proactively managed by an onsite team.”

M-Flow Technologies, a flow-metering technology business operating in the upstream oil and gas sector, has moved from its 3,000 sq ft premises at Hitching Court to 9,900 sq ft at Unit 2 Blacklands Way.

Michael Weinig (UK), the woodworking-machine manufacturer, has also taken a further 8,100 sq ft at the park, where it has been based for over 25 years.

Richard Bains, partner and fund manager of the UK Value series at Rockspring, commented: “It is a great pleasure to see three of our existing occupiers expanding due to increased business opportunities. We have taken significant steps to refurbish existing buildings.”
