A Worcester recruitment firm has expanded its premises to help meet a rapid period of growth in the last 12 months.

GMP Recruitment more than doubled the square footage of its Copenhagen Street headquarters after acquiring a neighbouring property to generate more than 2,500 square foot of extra space after it was vacated by a previous tenant.

Supporting by its expanded office space, the company is also planning to hire six new staff to accommodate the increase in demand for its recruitment services.

Mike Pincott, director at GMP Recruitment said: "We have decided to expand our offices to cope with an exceptional period of growth which has seen us winning new clients and taking on more staff.

“We were at full capacity and couldn’t give the team the perfect space we wanted so the expansion comes at a perfect time. By doubling the size of our offices we’re now able to able to give our 10-strong team more working space, larger meeting areas and also a much-improved break-out space where they can relax and have lunch.

"We can now comfortably accommodate 18 people and are planning to take on another six over the coming months. It’s an exciting time for us as we enter a busy summer and things are certainly going in the right direction.”

GMP, founded by Mr Pincott and fellow director Gareth Matts, now place more than 1,000 people a year into permanent or temporary office, engineering, manufacturing and logistics jobs. The company works with organisations across the industrial, legal, finance, logistics, office and hospitality sectors.

Aside from the firm’s main recruitment base in Worcester, they are also planning to open new offices in Gloucester and Hereford.
