Tewkesbury tech company grows its product and development teams

Tewkesbury based tech firm SmartSurvey, has expanded its product and development teams, taking on Tom Barrie as Product Manager, Euan Griffiths as Senior Web Developer and Tom Collier as Software Developer.

The move further builds on its 50 per cent increase in headcount during the last financial year. This reflects the sustained growth in demand from organisations wanting to use its survey software, which has accelerated since the Covid-19 pandemic - a period which has also seen SmartSurvey help businesses to create more than 6,000 COVID related surveys and support initiatives such as Test & Trace.

Survey tools that allow organisations to gather feedback and improve their relationships with employees and customers have become increasingly valuable, particularly in today’s socially distanced world. The recent hires will help to further refine the user experience, as well as developing new functionality.

With responsibility for driving SmartSurvey’s product strategy, the product manager will help further deepen understanding within the company of exactly how customers are using its software, as well as shape the development of SmartSurvey’s product roadmap. Additional front and back end developers have been brought in to further enhance the performance and accelerate the release of new functionality.

SmartSurvey’s CEO Mo Naser, said: “As a customer centric business, we’re focused on helping our customers overcome their unique challenges. Our ongoing development of a survey platform that is powerful, user friendly and meets our customers’ needs is fundamental to retention and growth. Our recent investment in new employees will help us to become even closer to customers, develop at greater speed and release new functionality, shaped and validated through customer feedback. While the current economic outlook is still challenging for many, we are positive about the future and hope we can support even more organisations and individuals navigate the uncharted waters the pandemic has created by using data to make smarter decisions.”

While none of us can predict how long the pandemic will go on for, survey software is providing a vital bridge enabling organisations to stay connected with their customers and employees, despite social distancing restrictions.”
