Mayo Wynne Baxter, a law firm with offices spread across Sussex, has announced seven new heads of office as part of its ongoing growth strategy.

Each of these new office heads, who are collectively leading 220 employees, are being tasked with the growth of their given branches over the course of a three year period.

Tasked with leading the Brighton branch is James O’Connell, who specialises in helping businesses with stakeholder management issues, commercial contracts, crypto-currency and employment issues.

In Crawley the new head of office is private client partner Matt Parr. Matt has expertise in  helping clients negotiate the pitfalls of estate planning and administration including will preparation, lasting powers of attorney, and inheritance tax planning. The new head of the Eastbourne branch is Claire Bussuttil, also an expert in private client matters. Claire specialises in areas including probate and deputyship.

Family law partner Emma van Bunnens, an expert in divorce, finances, and cases involving children, will be overseeing the East Grinstead branch. Mayo Wynne Baxter Lewes, the foundational location, will be managed by Jessica Partridge. Jessica specialises in advising high net worth individuals.

The firm’s Seaford branch will be managed by residential property and conveyancing lawyer Sacha Bolourchi, who will develop the community engagement and further expand on regional development during his three year tenure. Juliet Godfrey, who deals with all aspects of freehold and leasehold residential property and specialises in landed estates, high net worth residential transactions, and complex conveyancing, will be taking the office head role at the firm’s Storrington hub.

Mayo Wynne Baxter chief executive partner Dean Orgill said: “Location means a lot to us and our clients and, unlike other firms that are retreating from local office footprints, we are expanding.

“As well as widening our talent pool, this benefits our clients by giving them direct access to legal experts who know and are embedded in the local market, and who are supported by our fantastic legal offering.

“This also provides us greater opportunity to attract talent, as we continue to invest in the development of our people locally.”
