Smith & Williamson, the accountancy, investment management and tax group, has announced a senior promotion within its Southampton office.
Jamie Lane, who joined Smith & Williamson as a trainee in 2003, has been promoted to partner in the Southampton assurance and business services department.
Andrew Edmonds, managing partner of Smith & Williamson’s Southampton office, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Jamie into the partnership. His promotion is thoroughly deserved, he is a dedicated member of our team and his commitment to delivering great client service means that he has made an outstanding contribution to the firm during his time here. It is particularly special when someone who joins us as straight from college is able to progress all the way to partner.”
Lane added: “I am absolutely delighted with the promotion, having initially joined Smith & Williamson as a trainee and worked my way through the ranks. It is great to part of a growing and successful team and I am looking forward to being involved in our plans for further growth.”
The Southampton office has grown significantly in recent years and now comprises of 73 people, including nine partners.
