Sarah Cardew hired as Partner at Stevens and Bolton Guildford office
Guildford firm Stevens & Bolton LLP has appointed a new corporate tax and incentives practice partner.
Sarah Cardew formerly of Corporate Tax at Irwin Mitchell, is the latest appointment at the expanding firm.
In September, Caroline DeLaney joined the real estate disputes team from Rosenblatt and Andy Williams joins the employment, pensions, and immigration team from Charles Russell Speechlys. Those appointments followed corporate and insurance regulatory specialist Heidi Sawtell and private client expert Gareth Walliss being hired.
The number of partners at the firm now stands at 45.
Sarah has extensive experience advising clients across the corporate, real estate and commercial tax landscapes. As a member of the Law Society’s VAT and Duties sub-committee, Sarah's insight is often sought on draft VAT legislation.
Commenting on the appointment, Kate Schmit, Head of Corporate Tax and Incentives at Stevens & Bolton LLP, said: “We are delighted that Sarah is joining the team, her expertise across a breadth of sectors will help further grow our top ranked corporate tax practice and help the firm go from strength-to-strength.”
Managing Partner, James Waddell, added: “We have bolstered our all equity partnership this year with five excellent hires and two fantastic internal promotions. Sarah and her practice are a great fit for our firm and we will add strength in depth to our highly regarded corporate tax practice. We are thrilled to have Sarah join us.”
