Simplicity, the Gloucestershire-based flexible recruitment finance provider, has appointed Vincent Seddon as Head of Sales.

Vincent brings 13 years of Business Development experience having worked for Barclays and most recently TBAT Innovation where he was Commercial Director.

David Vizard, Director of Sales at Simplicity, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have recruited somebody of Vincent’s calibre to this new role for the business. We have ambitious growth plans for the future and are confident that with his drive and business development experience he will be a huge asset to the business”.

Vincent spent nearly 10 years with Barclays where he was a New Customer Manager, International Trade Manager and ultimately Specialist Solutions Channel Manager. He joined TBAT Innovation as Business Development Manager in 2019. He became their Commercial Director in 2022.

Vincent said: “I am very excited about joining Simplicity at this exciting point in the business’s development. From the very first time that I met the people here, I was impressed by their customer focussed ethos and the calibre of the team. I’m very excited to join a great team and support business growth in the future. I am also very much looking forward to getting to know and delving further into the recruitment sector”.

In his spare time, Vincent is a keen equestrian, competing his show horses at many county and national shows. He is also Chair of Judges for the Coloured Horse and Pony society and founder of the Wiltshire Show.

Peter Davison is deputy editor of The Business Magazine. He has spent his life in journalism – doing work experience in newsrooms in and around Bristol while still at school, and landing his first job on a local newspaper aged 19. By 28 he was the youngest newspaper editor in the country.

An early advocate of online news, he spent the first years of the 2000s telling his bosses that the internet posed both the biggest opportunity and greatest threat to the newspaper industry and the art of journalism. He was right on both counts.

Since 2006 he has enjoyed a career as a freelance journalist. He lives in rural Wiltshire with one wife, two children, and three cats.
